What is animation?
Animation is the process of creating computer images from scratch and adding movement to them. An example of this is producing an education video with synthetically created people interacting with each other by moving them in a video environment to tell the story. This can be utilized in conjunction with capturing video footage and editing a story together with live action and animation, or entire videos can be produced with animation. This all depends on the storytelling feel of the project. Animation is an editing technique and is apart of the most time consuming part of video production. Like all editing, animation is set at the intersection of storytelling and problem solving. The storytelling aspect of animation means knowing how to arrange the images created in a precise order to tell the most meaningful story. The technical aspects of animation include the ability to use the various softwares and being able to execute solutions to problems that come about.
